News clippings, ticket stubs, passports, photographs with  exemplary well organized hand written “to do” lists  from a father who had recently passed away, his son brought these items in a large suitcase, for me to use only  a portion of this ephemera collection to create a meaningful mixed media collage that would capture his father’s personality, his career as an architect with the Disney Corporation, and to show the deep affection he had for his wife along with his family and many close friends. I took time to read over everything in that suitcase and reviewed my notes after I met with the client who ordered the commission, before beginning the process  to create a joyful, highly personal, and authentic visual biography using the art of collage. When completed, Bob Glasser was seen as an inspiration to those who knew him – in how to live a full life that was “well lived.”
