Working on a larger scale, this work using photograph cutouts combined with solid color paper cutouts is abstract; yet the title, Boundaries, makes the work more story telling according to one’s point of view. Are boundaries solid or fluid? Where do boundaries start and end? Are there boundaries within our minds or are they only physical? Repurposed family photographs become disentangled, where the original intent of the photograph is no longer viable, yet the photographs are still an intrinsic part of what makes up the composition. For me, imagination has few if any boundaries.
