Using a large collection of saved family glossy photographs, by reshaping them into floating paper cutouts, original images become disentangled to become intimate abstract compositions, no longer knowing the connections once made between familiar faces and places. The photography cutout series, Disentangled, along with other current work in this same genre, create their own visual language, in a subconscious, dreamlike way. Five of these smaller works from the Disentangled Series were selected for the APG (Atlanta Photography Group) juried show, Concepts: The Post-Apocalyptic Photo Challenge in 2013.
