Life Chapter 40 is one of nine “life chapters” seen as one large installation, starting with Life Chapter 5 up through Life Chapter 75. These visual autobiographies explore the personal journey of my early and adult life. Life Chapter 40 highlights my return to college to explore drawing and painting, while my children were receiving their college degrees. During these years, I began creating paper cutouts and designed my first community narrative quilt, “Threads of Tradition.”
